Beijing reports one imported Covid-19 case

Beijing, Sep 25 (IANS) Beijing on Friday reported one imported Covid-19 case on Thursday, the municipal health commission said.

The newly confirmed case is the same asymptomatic case reported on September 19, Xinhua news agency quoted the commission as saying.

The patient was re-examined on Thursday and the result of the nucleic acid test was positive.

Following the results of a chest CT scan, the patient was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

The Chinese capital reported no new locally transmitted confirmed, asymptomatic, or suspected cases, according to the commission.

As of Friday, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases on the mainland had reached 85,322, including 166 patients still being treated.

Altogether, 4,634 have so far died of the disease.
