COVID-19: 5 deaths in Gurugram on Wednesday

Gurugram, June 17 (IANS) Five more patients infected with coronavirus died in Wednesday in Gurugram. With this, a total of 51 persons have lost their lives in Gurugram city and 47 of them died in the last two weeks.

Apart from the deaths, health officials have also detected 180 corona positive patients on Wednesday while 35 patients were discharged from hospitals after they recovered.

Gurugram currently has 3,862 positive cases including 1,949 patients who have recuperated from their illness. 1,862 patients are admitted in different hospitals and home isolation.

"We have 1,862 active patients including 521 in private and government hospitals, 53 in Covid care centers and 1,288 in home isolation," Dr Virender Yadav, civil surgeon of Gurugram said.

The officer pointed out that 45 fresh cases appeared in MCG zone 1, 44 in zone 2, 45 in zone 3, 35 in zone 4, 6 in Pataudi and 5 in Sohna block.
