8/21/1995Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, noted physics scientist, died at the age of 84. He was one of the world's leading astro-physicists for his contributions to the study of stars. Chandrasekhar had received the highest award in Science--the Noble Prize in Physics in 1983.
11/10/1990Chandra Shekhar Singh sworn in as 8th Prime Minister of India. He remained in this office till June 21, 1991 Devilal was sworn in as the Dy. Prime Minister.
