Historical Event on 6/4/1997

Indian National Satellite (INSAT-2D), fourth satellite in INSAT-2 series, launched. This has additional capabilities such as mobile satellite service, business communication and television outreach beyond Indian boundaries. This became inoperable due to power bus anamoly since Oct. 4, 1997. It was launched by European launch vehicle, Ariane from Kourov in French Guyana.

4/22/1921Subhas Chandra Bose, resigned from Indian Civil Service, and formed South Calcutta Sevak Samiti after returning to India. He was also arrested for carrying our freedom movement.
11/5/2000The Interpol issues a ""look-out'' notice for the five persons and two of their accomplices, who hijacked an Indian Airlines plane in December 1999
