Depends on your length of stay. It never gets too hot in Seattle and rains most of the year. This time of the year is rather pleasant so you can get by with layering. Dont buy winter clothing in India, better to buy here. You can get all household stuff in Wal-mart/target. Things that come to my mind: medicines, pressure cooker
