Chandigarh, Dec 3 (IANS) Elections to the municipal bodies of Haryana will be held on December 27 and the results will come on December 30, State Election Commissioner Dalip Singh said on Thursday.

He said nomination papers will be filed from December 11 to 16.

The elections for the seats of Mayor and member of all the wards of the Municipal Corporation in Ambala, Panchkula and Sonipat and the President and members of the Municipal Council in Rewari, Sampla, Dharuhera (Rewari) and Ukalana (Hisar) will also be held.

Besides this, the byelection in the Municipal Committee of Indri (Karnal), Bhuna (Fatehabad), Rajound (Kaithal), Fatehabad and Sirsa have also been notified.

The model code of conduct has come into force from Thursday, he added.
