I have had enough with mid-western boredom & harrowing weather patterns. Always, fancied living in the Pacific NW. Ideally, would want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of big city but, owing to serious health issues of my 2 year old son, would not venture too far from the nearest Childrens Hospital. Given my situation, I have zeroed in on Tumwater & Chehalis as 2 of the most promising places to relocate. In all likelihood I will be the single parent to 2 toddlers a 4 year old and the above mentioned 2 year old. Preference : Good Schools of course, year around favorable weather, crime free (if possible), lots of outdoor attractions with driving distance etc. Not religious, so no need for prayer houses or temples.

I am looking to be somewhere on the cross-roads of Portland & Seattle so that I can enjoy best of both the Worlds and that is why I am zeroing in on locations at the southern tip of puget sound on the western side of the State.Though, I have made occasional biz trips to Seattle, I would like to know how dreary and gloomy is the weather year around? Does it really have telling effect on a persons well being? Throw as much light on this issue as possible.
