On occasion I wear one my Sarees given to me by Indian friends and I am American. I always get smiles form both Indians and non indians just because it looks so pretty. I have never seen any one give a sour look. It is Seattle so you can wear what you want. I love my sarees and wish I had more reasons to wear them.
Ive lived in the mid-west for most of my life, and I think most South Asians wear whatever they want as long as its stylish and fashionable in either culture. I dont wear sarees only because I dont tie them myself so well, but I wear high end Indian outfits mixed in with my Western clothes all the time. After all... Indian clothes do look best on Indians. Even if you go to American shops you can find high end Indian prints and designs, if Westerners are wearing them so fashionably, why shouldnt we? :)
indian after comming to US dont want to look as tho they are Indians.thy prefer to be more modernized in thier dressing.Forget saree....i dnt knw wat saree is.....is the attitude of indians aftr cmg to the US.
