Hi, My wife is on an h4b and is having a miserable time here due to lack of a job! yes, we tried last year but could not get the damn lottery for h1B - Luck!! and now, it seems that there is nothing that she can do! I feel bad for her as she is extremely qualified, worked for over 5 years in a bank in India and now has to sit at home - waiting for the day to get over - its a shame that this system is doing this to her!so if you folks have any suggestions, please do post:)we are open to most things at this time - including a career change into IT.some observations - 1. there are no SAP colleges with free placement etc like in Chicago or NJ2. Its tough to get a H1b without a IT qualification3. You cant start a business on H44. Working under the table at shops etc is OK but not a career maove + us desis dont think its honorable - u know what i mean!would appreciate your opinions / rants / adviceGM
