Hey everyone, Ambreen Ali and I (Ash Bhoopathy) are creating an offshoot of an open mic night weve experienced in other cities (SF and DC). Were currently looking for talented people to participate - Right now, were thinking of holding the events quarterly on a weeknight. The open mic nights are focused on any South Asian talent, so really any "subcontintent-ish" stuff is cool with us. Initially, the categories that were looking at are Spoken Word Poetry, Prose, Storytelling, Musical Performance, Comedy, Dance, or "Other". If you know of people who might be interested, you can send them here:http://subdrift.com and click on "I want to perform"Were looking to hold our first event in the first week of May - Ambitious, we know, but we think we can pull it off if we sign up enough talent, so please help us out!
