Hi, Asking for a friend. His mom has thumb impression instead of signature in her passport. As she doesnt have enough documents from her school she got her passport with thumb impression saying shes illiterate. Shes travelling to US in a week for the first time. Can she keep her thumb impression in US customs form or sign it? Do they accept it? Will there be any additional questions if she uses thumb impression? Your pointers are much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Please let me know about filling the Indian Departure Card too. Should we sign or do thumb impression?
