Vijay I. 6/8/2012 Member of PortlandIndian.com City: Hillsboro	Hi,Looking at your area code, looks like you are relocating from Austin.(I did the same) If Intel (im not), Im sure some colleagues in there will have best practices recommendation. Apartments in the Bethany area (North West Portland/Beaverton) have good schools. They can be a bit pricey. 6&9 are in elementary school. Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard schools are generally good and where most asian kids go to. Go to this link - pick each school district I mentioned and look at which elementary are rated well, look at school zipcode and search around them. http://www.ode.state.or.us/data/reportcard/reports.aspxGoogle for, say, Beaverton elementary boundary map and confirm that the school is the right one for the apartment and also ask the apartment office.I know some friends in Sir Charles Court apartment in Beaverton and the corresponding Oak Hill elementary is pretty good.In general the rental market prices are gone up and only few availability. So you might get some sticker shocks (and more so when you are ready to buy a house)Hope this helps.-Vijay
