Why I have decided to write about this is? When I say one has to go beyond happiness and sorrow, it is because the mind has the capacity to cling onto happiness and sorrow. When happiness comes the mind feels so comfortable and elated. However when sorrow enters the mind, it feels bleak and depressed, and it begins to pull up all the bad past memories one has experienced, which creates a huge negative energy shaft.

Whenever you are in a blissful mood, the mind does not pull up past memories that are positive.

The idea is that once we give power to the mind, it will automatically pull us down. So the idea which I am trying to give is, if somebody
lives with not clinging to happiness as well as sorrow, then the clinging of thoughts will not happen. In means, the linking of
thoughts or reuniting of the thoughts, won't happen. Because we get the attitude to breach the thoughts, especially negative thoughts.
And those thoughts will give us enormous depression and issues.

So, how do we handle it?

Whenever happiness comes, just relax with it and enjoy it, and don't expect the same happiness to continually prolong in your system. I am saying this because, the moment you expect the happiness to prolong in your system, it will build and become continuous expectation and that is dangerous.

Any senses we live though, there could be ups and downs. If you live, especially when it comes to happy moments, just be aware that, okay, I am
happy, that's all. And this idea applies for sorrow also. Don't get into the emotional part of it and things will be alright whenever you are in depression.

So, the key is don't give too much attachment to the emotional part of it. When happiness comes, just enjoy. When sorrow comes, just
be aware and handle it.
