Arpita Mukherjee, an Air Force officer''s daughter , is an Economics (Honors) Graduate & ''Sangeet Shiromani'' from Faculty of Music, Delhi University. A trained artist in various forms of music viz Classical, Light Classical, Folk, Gazal & Thumris etc. She possesses a dynamic and vivacious personality to get involved with mass audiences of any age group with her wide repertoire of songs. She can perform with freedom any genre of film and private songs from vintage 1950 songs to the latest modern day numbers. Her singing idols Lata ji, Ashaa ji, Geeta Dutt ji ,Celine Dion,Mariah Carey,Carpenter''s ,Abba have been the inspiring force, for her to render their classical, semi-classical numbers and retro classics of yesteryears to date, to warm the hearts of young and old alike, who cherish our great music Directors and contemporary music. Arpita has performed extensively in India & abroad for big corporate houses , government undertakings such as ONGC,BPCL,Oil Asia,Ashok Leyland,IMA,HSBC Bank,HDFC Bank,Bajaj Group,Hero Honda group,Mittal Steel group,Modi group,Railway Board ,Power grid,Liberty shoes,Kribhco,Indian Navy,Uninor,Ace Micromatic group,Ambivalley,and for public concerts like Lucknow Mahotsav,Qutub fest,Kota Mahotsav,Aligarh Mahotsav,Karnataka Golf Association,Royal Jagmandir Palace at Udaipur,Rajpath club,Rotary clubs,Lions clubs,Flying clubs.She has been part of "Celebrity Shows" of Star Plus and Doordarshan Antakshari Shows. Arpita''s major successful platforms have been the successful winning performances as the "Golden Voice" award for "TVS Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" of Zee TV musical show and subsequently as a finalist of "Fame Gurukul" on Sony TV. She got her first break in Bollywood under renowned Music Director Himesh Reshammiya for Samar Khan movie title track "Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye".
Arpita''s first solo album -"Yeh Chand "for which soulful music was composed by renowned Singer and Composer Sukhvinder Singh was released by Crescendo Promotions & Management which was well appreciated by masses and critics alike. Her next album was a first of its kind, "Deepawali Aayee Re" which was a collaboration between Crescendo, Bajaj Group and Indiatimes. Arpita has recently recorded title songs for two upcoming movies "Rivaaj" and "Its a Man''s World". Her voice has featured in different places in popular TV serials like "Meerabai" , "Rakhee ka Swayamvar" , "Palampur Express" and also in several jingles .She also recently sang for a Tamil film for Yuvan Shankar Raja and for another Kannada film.
